Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward is ringing in the New Year with a tweet that might be teasing what the high-profile studio has in store for the coming year.
It could be a simple well-wishes message to start the New Year. Or it might be a reference to the developer's next game.
With the Call of Duty franchise now on a three-year, three-studio development cycle, 2016 would presumably be Infinity Ward's year to launch a new Call of Duty game. Their last game, Call of Duty: Ghosts, was released in 2013 and was the first Call of Duty game released for new-generation systems.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare from Sledgehammer Games followed in 2014, with Call of Duty: Black Ops III from Treyarch Studios launching in 2015.
Infinity Ward's game is presumably being readied for 2016, though this has not been confirmed at this point.
